“Hi, this vent hood indicates it uses halogen bulbs. Can those be replaced with LED bulbs and if so, what size/type?”

Hi Sam - Thanks for viewing GE! The hood has dual halogen lighting with nightlight. Enjoy better visibility with a brightly lit cooktop and surrounding surface. We do not recommend modifications. Our products are designed, tested and manufactured to specific specifications. On new products, we offer a warranty based on these specifications. All lamps need to be GU10 compatible. We do not recommend using the LED lamps from JVX5305 in the JVX5300 because the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is above the allowable limits. If you dim your light on the hood it can interfere with appliances on the same circuit. Keep in touch! Sue
