Additionally the trim kit has a template which is easy to follow that allows the installer of both the microwave & mounting base to be centered from side to side & front to back. Once this is completed the outside trim fits perfectly. Also I accessed the GE appliance app & spoke with the customer service representative to confirm the exact model of microwave I needed based on my cabinet opening & she also confirmed which trim kit size I would need as well. Customer service was friendly & very helpful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does, it is screwed to the bottom of the microwave in an early installation step. The front facia is screwed to the mounting base in the door opening. Good luck!
