“This unit will be used in a barn small room. My plan is to hook it up to a portable thermostat which will usually be set on 85 degrees. will this work?”

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to reach out with this excellent question. This air conditioner is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Sonos, and the Google Assistant using our SmartHome app. If your portable thermostat is compatible with one or more of these systems, it may work, but we do not offer any specific information or support on these accessories. We are happy to let you know that this unit does come with a remote, but it works within a set range of 20 feet and works on infrared. We also recommend that it be installed in its own dedicated space where the airflow will not be restricted. It can be set in temperatures ranging from 64-86 degrees F.
