“I bought this hood because I believed it was 24 inches in height. Unfortunately anything taller than 24inches will not work for my kitchen. Can I cut and modify the duct cover from 26 inches to 22inches? Will this affect the performance?”

Although we have not tested this, cutting the duct cover would not negatively impact the product. If a mistake is made when cutting the duct cover down a few inches, the warranty will not cover that damage. New holes will have to be drilled on the flange to attach it to the bracket. Also, make sure to install it at least 24” above the cooking surface, as identified in the installation instructions.
