A:AnswerHello Sue - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. Our front-load washers are quiet. However, you may hear some vibration when the unit is going into the 1300 RPM spin. This would be considered normal. You can install this unit on a pedestal Part #SBSD137HWW which is sold separately. When the washer is installed, the floor must be a hard level surface with a maximum slope of 1/2” per foot (1.27 cm per 30 cm). To make sure the washer does not vibrate or move, you may have to reinforce the floor. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
