Hi Alma- While it is possible for an odor to occur over time, we suggest to check the gasket regularly. Using both hands, press down the door gasket. Remove any foreign objects if found trapped inside the gasket. Make sure there is nothing blocking the holes behind the gasket so water can drain. To clean the interior of the washer, select the Tub Clean feature on the control panel. This Tub Clean cycle should be performed, at a minimum, once per month. This cycle will use more water, in addition to bleach, to control the rate at which soils and detergents may accumulate in your washer.
