“This says it's an HE machine but I don't see water usage listed anywhere in the specs. We're going into drought conditions. I need a top loader w/agitator that saves water. Help!”

I have GE Model GTW465AN. It gives me the option of choosing the water level myself (low, meduim, high or max) or allowing the washer to select the water level (precise fill). The precise fill is water saver option. It is recommended to use a low suds detergent with this washer.

Water consumption information is not published as it depends upon a plurality of factors including washer model, cycle chosen, water level chosen (on models with consumer selectable water levels), the load size, the load type, and any optional features selected. When taking all those factors into account there could be thousands of water usage values, so it is impractical to publish water usage amounts. We hope this helps. -Elliot@GEA
