After 4 years I believe the manufacture warranty has expired. But as for your issue with rust? I believe that’s signs of water sitting in
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good day, Oh no! We're awfully sorry to hear that your washer machine has rust and certainly understand how much of a pain that is. We'll provide some tips on dealing with rust. To minimize the possibility of electric shock, unplug this appliance from the power supply before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Surface rust on the sidewalls of stainless steel baskets may be caused by particulates in the water. This type of surface rust can be cleaned off and in some cases prevented by following the cleaning instructions below: Spray the basket with Windex. (Slight alkaline solution). Clean the basket with Magic Eraser to remove all brown particulates. Magic eraser will not scratch the basket. Wipe off the Windex. Spray the basket with an oxalic acid based cleaner. (Bar Keepers Friend, available in most stores). Wipe basket thoroughly. Wiping water spots off after each cycle with a wet cloth once the cleaning process above has been completed, can help with prevention. If surface rust is heavy, a filtration system may be needed to eliminate particulates in the water. Rust in the tub is not covered under warranty. We apologize for this inconvenience. Wishing you the best! Mike@GEA
