“Hi Do you recommend using surge protector to this washer? If so, would Belkin surge protector with 4320 Joules, 1800 watts & clamping voltage of 400 be good enough? With on and off switch on surge, can leave it off when not in use to protect washer?”

• Hi there, We appreciate you taking the time to reach out. Good question! Washers must be plugged directly into a properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord or plug the unit into a surge protector or multi-outlet adaptor. Please check the owner's manual for electrical requirements. Stay in touch! Mike@GEA
