Hi there - thanks for reaching out! We are sorry that hot water is filling your washer when you are setting the temperature control to anything but hot. This sounds inconvenient and we can understand your frustration. To troubleshoot, you should make sure both hot and cold water supply valves are turned on and then check to ensure the hose connections were not reversed. (The hoses are marked with letters "H" for HOT and "C" for Cold.) Since it seems that only the hot water is working, it sounds like the cold water valve might be clogged. To fix this, turn off the water source and remove the water connection hoses from the upper back of the washer and the water faucets. Clean both the hose screens (if so equipped) and the screens in the machine using a brush or a toothpick. Then, reconnect the hoses and turn the water back on. Check to ensure there are no leaks at the connections. We hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other questions or concerns. Best, Kelsey@GEA
