“What is the recommended way of adding liquid detergent -- on the bottom before loading, or afterward on top of the load? The Owner's Manual and the "Owner's Reference Guide" card seem to contradict one another.”

For current models, it is recommended to add the manufacturer’s recommended amount of liquid HE detergent to the top of the load after adding clothes (if using pods, add to the bottom of the wash basket before adding clothes). We always put the soap in before the clothes.
