“Are the different cycles of washing; such as: permanent press, gentle or regular wash timed for exact minutes. For instance, the old washers were 10 minutes to agitate or 16! Etc. I do not like the new models that take an hour or so to complete wash.”

I liked the old ones too. The washer time varies a lot. Most of my normal, smaller loads can take up to an hour. Maybe its a water pressure thing?
