I fit two king sized fleece blankets in ours.

The question about if a particular washer will accommodate a king size comforter is a tricky one, simply because there is so much variability in comforter thickness. A thick queen size comforter can be substantially bulkier than a thinner king size comforter, so generically stating that a given washer can accommodate a certain size comforter is risky. There are certainly king size comforters that the GTW465 can wash. As with any bulky item being washed, there will be limited movement of the item in the washer so we always recommend to pretreat any stains on bulky items before washing and to be sure to load the items evenly to foster them washing well and spinning up smoothly. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My washer was delivered on 11/2/2020. I washed 1 queen size blanket; the machine was banging, the load balancer took over. Again the machine was banging, I had to adjust the blanket in the washer. Again the banging and now the machine moved forward about 2-3 inches. At the end of the Bulky Items cycle, the blanket was soaking wet. I used the Drain/Spin cycle, the blanket was still soaking wet at the end. FYI, I've washed this blanket MANY times in my previous Kenmore washer, lasted 25+ years. NOT HAPPY.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This and most washers cannot wash king size bed spreads. It will handle a queen size. It is best to take king size to a Landry mat. Let's face it we don't wash bed spreads as often as our clothes

I put the setting on bulky items, extra spin and still can’t drain the comforter. The machine shimmy’s and shakes and finally I take it out and take it to the laundry mat. I have had many washers but there are features that I dislike. The lid lock is crazy. I like to start my washer and add clothes and detergent later. I have only had this washer for six months. A service person is coming out but I’m not hopeful.
