Hi there, and thanks for letting us know about this. We hate to hear you were concerned with clothes on the top remaining dry with a ‘Max’ fill; we regret any worry caused. We can advise the water not covering the top level of the clothes is normal, as the washer is a high efficiency unit and the water level may be a bit lower than on older models. The wash performance will not be negatively impacted. We can also advise the Max setting is designed to fill up the washer as much as a Full Deep Fill for the wash cycle. The Deep Fill feature is usually recommended for special case loads rather than everyday use. If it might be helpful, we have a section on Loading the washer on page 15 of the manual (which can be viewed on our GE website by looking up the model number and going to the product page). We hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions or concerns, we are happy to offer assistance any time. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Noticed that as well. We have the Deep Fill option. It shows if you push the deep fill button and hold it in and it should beep. That gives you the extra water you maybe looking for. Hopefully that helps.
