“With Deep Fill option selected and water level knob set to Max, the machine 'fills' with approximately 5 inches of water. Service person came out and said this is normal. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.”

Do you hold the Deep Fill button for about five seconds or until you hear a click or buzz. Five inches of water is unacceptable when properly using Deep Fill

We hate to hear there's been some confusion over using the Deep Fill option on your washer; we know that would cause concern, and would like to assist. The full Deep Fill option can fill the washer the same amount as the Max setting, which is approximately 20 or 26 gallons depending on the model. If the Deep Fill button is pressed once, an incremental amount of water will be added to the wash load; that may have been the case if your unit only had 5 inches of water in it. To fill the unit to the deepest fill level possible, the button would need to be held down for 3 seconds. If your washer will not fill adequately and you need to reach out to our service department again, they are available at 1-800-432-2737.
