• Hi - Thanks for considering GE! On belt driven models, one belt runs from the motor for both agitating and spinning the tub. On direct driven models, there is no belt. The motor turns the tub. Also, the drain hose is included with all GE washers. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
