Hello Sam - This is an excellent question and we will be happy to help. Every GEA washer is tested for leakage before being packed for shipment. Therefore, the washer may have a small amount of water in the tub when they reach your home. We hope this helps and enjoy the new washer! We know you'll love it! - JB
