• It is not auto defrost. It is manual with a drain plug in front.

• Hi MER- The is a manual defrost freezer. It has an upfront defrost water drain conveniently located to easily drain water during defrosting. It does not have a drip pan. In most climates, defrosting will be necessary only about twice a year.
