“I need exact width of stove. I understand publicized Industry standard is 30" but I have heard that they are generally less and I only have 29 7/8". Just want to insure it will fit.”

I had the same issue. It fit perfectly in a slightly smaller space than exactly 30 inches.

Can't say for sure as 1/8" difference might be related to the accuracy of a given tape measure. Mine does measure 30" exactly. Might want to stop into a store, if possible (lots of places sell these), and measure one yourself just to be sure. Or, perhaps your space can be modified to gain the 1/8"???
