The Wi-Fi can be turned off and on, a misconception with the Wi-Fi is that you can set different functions like turning on and off the machine, but it does not do that, it displays on the app how much time is running and just informational stuff doesn’t do anything.

Once the unit is connected it is connected but you don't have to use the feature if you don't want to. By getting Connected, the appliance can get remote software updates and allows for remote diagnostics to determine the cause of an issue, if there is one and even get it fixed without a tech visit in some cases. It also simplifies setting up the controls and allows a consumer to set up and monitor the unit remotely. Next, determine if the trouble is with the appliance or the WiFi features.
