Hello Chloe - Thank you for the excellent question. This is a common query we are asked. The fingerprint resistance is a clear coating added to the traditional stainless steel. This means there will not be a major difference in the finish, although a slight difference in the shine may be noticed in the right lighting. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - JB
