  • Questionwhat does MANUAL cleaning for oven mean?

    Asked by TAGG.

    • Answer Hi TAGG- Manual Clean ovens do not have self-clean or steam clean features, and require cleaning by hand. Frequent wiping with mild soap and water (particularly after cooking meat) will prolong the time between major cleanings. For light food soils, soap, water and a scouring pad should be all that is needed. Tougher soils might require a commercial oven cleaner made for use in a standard clean oven. Be sure to follow the instructions on the product label. The job of cleaning a standard clean oven can be made easier by using household ammonia. Place 1/2 cup in a shallow glass or pottery container in a cold oven overnight. The ammonia fumes will help loosen the burned-on grease and food. See the following link- CLEANING OPTIONS FOR RANGES: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/range-stove/range-cleaning-options.htm - GE® 30" Free-Standing Electric Range JB645DKWW has Self-Clean oven. • QuestionWhat wiring is needed to hook up ge model jbs60rkss electric range

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi- GE Appliances does not package the power cord with electric free-standing ranges since it is not possible to determine the type of facilities each consumer has available or what the local electrical codes require (ex. 3-wire vs 4-wire). We suggest to view the Installation Instructions at the following link for complete details: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-10816-2.pdf - (POWER / RATINGS: 208V/240V; 40 Amp). • QuestionThe front right burner's element's glow cycles on and off red when i use it. Is that normal? Also, when i use the smaller circle on the front right burner, the larger very outer circle glows(and gets hot) as well. Is this normal?

    Asked by BestBuyGirl.

    • Answer Hi - It is not unusual for the element to cycle on and off during use, particularly when using a setting other than high. The burner will do this to maintain your desired setting without overheating the food you are cooking. When you use the smaller right front 6" burner, make sure you are choosing a setting on the left hand side of the burner control knob. If you are and you find the portion of the burner outside the 6" circle continues to heat up, we would recommend having service check your range. We do hope you find this helpful. All or best! • QuestionIs this dual element bake oven?

    Asked by Randa.

    • Answer Hello, thank you for your question. This range has both a broil element and a bake element. However, the "Bake" mode uses heat primarily from the lower element but also from the upper element to cook food. If you would like to view any more information regarding the features and functionality of this range, you can do so using the owner's manual, linked here: https://files.bbystatic.com/aaXCtpmZlkrx1SnDPKpXRQ%3D%3D/d0b39e46-5a22-4b16-a6e9-56ff0457dd5d.pdf We hope this helps!
