“I will only buy the range if I can use my old GE Calrod coils. I understand that it is recommended to keep sensi temp, but I do not want to do that. Will the new 2019 GE range work with older regular Calrod coils?”

I bought some universal coils from Lowe's and switched out the sensi-temp coils. My stove works perfectly.

Hi Lanago2 - Thanks for your interest in Model JB258RMSS! Starting in 2018, UL regulation requires all coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. As a result, our electric coil burners now use Sensi-Temp Technology. Sensi-temp burners on ranges manufactured on or after the regulatory change cannot be replaced with burners without Sensi-Temp Technology.
