Hi MAGSTER- Thanks for viewing our GE® 30" Free-Standing Electric Range JB250DFBB with a lower storage drawer! Yes, the range features in-oven broiling. The Broil Hi-Lo pad gives you the capability of reducing the oven temperature during the broil function. Hi Broil: Functions at 550 degrees Fahrenheit. It gives a quicker broiling to sear in natural food juices. Lo Broil: Functions at 450 degrees Fahrenheit. It gives a slower broiling to ensure doneness without drying out the food. The broiling happens inside the oven. The bottom drawer is solely for storage. You just choose broil and decide either hi or low and then hit start and the upper heating element inside the oven immediately starts to heat up.
