How long does it take for the burn in smell to go away? null

We ran the self cleaning before we used it for baking, per the instructions. The fumes and smell were strong during the self clean, we needed to open a window and use a fan to push them out of the house. That was effective. After that was done, we have not noticed any smell at all other than the food cooking (the good kind of oven smell).

Hi Cyn- The small amount of smoke/odor that is emitted from a new range (both gas and electric) on its initial use is normal. This is usually caused by the tape used in the oven for shipping purposes. To speed up the process, we suggest to run a self-clean cycle.
