The front control design allows you to showcase a solid backsplash visual without being broken up by a control panel. Tile and glass art backsplashes are prevalent in every style of design, from subway tile to ornate glass mosaic. View the following - FRONT CONTROL SLIDE-IN RANGES: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/range-stove/front-control-range.htm - As indicated, make sure the wall covering, countertop, flooring and cabinets around the range can withstand the heat (up to 200°F) generated by the range (includes back wall). If you need venting, check out GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SKSS. Four-speed, 400-CFM venting fan system quickly removes smoke, steam and odors from the cooktop to keep kitchen air fresh and clean. Enjoy! SUE@GEA
