“I just got this range and it came with a black bar and screws. What is it for? I downloaded the manual and there's nothing in it to say what the bar is for. Any help would be appreciated.”

I don't recall mine coming with a black bar or screws. But if the bar looks a bit like coving, and is the width of the range, it may be a spacer to install at the back of the range for an insulation in a kitchen island. It may also simply be a piece that was mistakenly packaged with you range. In either case you've bought a great range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I suspect the extra pieces are an anti- tipping attachment to be attached to the wall. They are unnecessary since the unit is so heavy that tipping is almost impossible.
