The oven light switch allows you to turn on the oven light to view your food without opening the door. The oven light will also come on each time the door is opened. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The knob is there so you can turn on the light WITHOUT opening the door. The light will also turn on when opening the door as well. The knob is no different that a button on a freestanding range.
