Is the unit quiet? null

Pretty much as quiet as most dehumidifiers are. You can hear it.

I found it surprisingly noisy, but the noise level varies with the fan speed you set it on. I don't have prior experience with dehumidifiers so perhaps this is normal, but I was surprised at the noise level. You can hear it throughout the house when it's set to high.
