Hi - Thank you for your interest in a new GE portable air conditioner. All of our portable units have an exhaust hose that must be vented out a window in order to exhaust the heat generated by the air conditioner. We do not offer a model that can sit standalone in a room. All our best! Vikki@GEA

The process generates hot air exhaust that has to be vented. You might consider a wall or a window unit. Best Buy sells both kinds. It also generates water that has to be either collected in an external bowl or container, or released from inside the unit via a valve on the unit. It's not a lot of water, but it is part of the equation. I hope this helps. Good luck!
