Yes, switch the mode from COOL to DRY. I live in Florida so my 5-gallon bucket that catches all the drainage fills up much faster and drains much more so please be prepared for that. I love the DRY mode - I get less humidity and nice cold air!

Yes, the unit has a Dry mode, but it will collect the condensation and will need to be drained regularly.
