Hi Kevin - Thanks for viewing GE Model JBS86SPSS! Height to cooking surface is 35 3/4"-36 1/2". This range is designed to be installed with standard 36" countertop. The cooktop lines up perfectly with 36" high countertops using the leveling legs to adjust the height as needed. 36 inches / 3 feet. There are adjusters at the bottom, so you can probably adjust it by an inch or so.
