This is how our plug is set up. The range has enough space that it doesn't interfere. However, the anti-tip brackets prevent a perfectly flush fit against the wall. There is approximately a 1 inch gap between the wall and the range with the brackets installed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The recess is 3" deep and 7"+ high. My outlet was in a two gang (square face) box and needed to be reinstalled into the wall so that it was flush. Your measurements suggest that you have a single gang box. If that is correct, the box would have to be mounted on the floor with the 3" side protruding from the wall and the outlet facing up since the plug will add another 2" of height when plugged in.
