  • QuestionHi, is there a way to turn the convection fan off in both ovens? I bake a lot and want to make sure that I can turn off convection when I want.

    • Answer Only the bottom oven is convection. You can control what type of cooking you want. You can choose either conventional or convection operation in the bottom..Only conventional in the top.

  • QuestionI'm used to having a warming drawer. Would the top oven be able to be used like a warming drawer? What is the lowest setting in the top oven?

    • Answer Hi djbartek - Yes, both ovens have Warm Mode. When selected, the oven automatically heats up to approximately 180 degrees to keep cooked foods hot and ready to serve for up to 3 hours. After three hours the oven will turn off automatically. The Warm function heats to 180 degrees to prevent food born bacteria growth. Thanks for considering GE Profile. When oven door is in open position, the control panel overhangs the frame of the oven by approximately 3-3/4".   • QuestionDoes the cook top use induction technology?

    • Answer Hi Lulucello - The cooktop use radiant technology and not induction. The heat is produced by a round wire resistance heater. This round wire lays in a coil in a insulated tray.   • QuestionHello, Will this unit fit if my countertops are higher than 36"? I understand that the unit will not be flush with the tops, but this looks like I would still be able to slide it in, as opposed to the previous model that had an overhang on the cooktop.

  • QuestionThere are two lines connecting the burners on the left. The description says they can be controlled together to enable cooking on larger cookware like griddles. Do they heat up to create one larger surface or is it just that the 2 can be synchronized?

    • Answer Hello GriddleCooking, Thank you for reaching out. We'll be happy to answer your question. Cooktops with Sync-Burners Capability allow you to sync the two left side 7" or 8" burners with a touch of a button. This allows the burner to remain at the same temperature across the griddle or cookware surface. If you want the front or rear of the griddle to be different temperatures, adjust the front and rear burners to different settings rather than using the Sync Burner pad. The space between the burners does not heat up; however, the burners are close enough together that you still get an even cooking area, especially since using Sync will ensure the burners are at the same temperature and will cycle together.   • QuestionMy question is about the cooktop. Many reviews say the cook top scratches very easily.....and some say white spots appear , and can’t be removed ..is this true? How do you clean and maintain the top to keep omit like new?

    • Answer Hi Pat - Thank you for your patience. We truly appreciate your interest in this fantastic range and are happy to offer you some guidance in caring for the glass radiant cooktop! This cooktop is made of a durable, glass ceramic material that is designed to withstand scratches with normal use. However, it is not scratch proof and it is important to use the proper cookware and follow cleaning procedures. The bottoms of your cookware should be a smooth flat surface and using cookware with rough bottoms, like cast iron, can damage the surface. You can find guidance on recommended cookware and tips for the radiant cooktop on page 11 of the Use and Care Manual. - While deep scratches may not be removable, small scratches will become less visible after cleaning, and some marks that only look like scratches can be removed altogether by cleaning. The range includes a cooktop cleaning kit, and regular use of ceramic cooktop cleaner will help maintain and protect the surface of your glass cooktop keep it looking new. You can learn more about cleaning the cooktop on pages 22-23 of your manual. We hope that this information is helpful for you and offers you some assurance.
