QuestionSince the ovens are steam clean only, is it safe to clean it with chemicals (like easy off) when necessary?

- Answer Hi - Thanks for considering GE Model JGBS86SPSS! The Steam cycle helps hydrate food soils so that they are easier to wipe away. To remove any remaining stubborn, baked-on stains, apply a non-abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend using a sponge or clean cloth. You can also use a mild soak and water or vinegar and water. Do not use oven cleaners, strong liquid cleansers, steel wool, or scouring pads on the interior of the oven. QuestionI do not have a double oven, just a standard GE range. The oven won't turn off. It registers as off but heat billows out when we open the oven door. I just baked a cake.

- Answer Used the connector hose that came that said for dryer on it since it had the 1/2 inch fittings. Had PGE come and check everything and they said all is well. Dryer hose connector is not an issue. They tested gas pressure along with kicking on water heater at same time. All good.

QuestionDoes oven need to sit flush against wall ? My current gas line is high up on my wall. Picture of back of oven shows detention on the bottom. Will this be an issue ?

- Answer The griddle that comes with this range is a non-stick aluminum griddle. We also offer a reversible cast iron grill/griddle accessory - JXGRILL1 that is compatible with this model range. - Answer I haven't used it yet, but according to the directions you pour water in an indention on the bottom. It heats up and steams the inside. Theoretically it should work.

- Answer Yes, this only requires a 120 Volt outlet so overloading it with a 220-volt outlet can damage the outlet or cause your home's circuit breaker to go out due to excessive power usage.
