“Should a brand new just delivered dryer take 3 hours to dry a medium load of towels on cotton cycle high heat? Also, tried the timed cycle on a small load of clothes that took two hours to dry. Is this machine bad or is that normal dry time for this GE?”

I got mine in April of 2022. It started Marking unremovable black marks on fabric. Felt spacers the drum floats on were breaking down (Don't understand why these were not made of a better material). That result for a short period of time. The dryer stopped completely drying on a cycle about the middle of October 23. Before the heating element was replaced it started making marks again so that was redone. The heating element was put in yet. Still we are not completely drying on one cycle. We don't use large loads either. The big kicker, I wanted to call and reschedule another repair visit and was told after two of those visits you end up having to pay. Am I warranty isn't up until April of 2,024. Thanks GE. You're not what you used to be. Now I have to figure out what to do.
