- Answer Hi cbrb- Dryer timer knobs will turn in both directions (clockwise and counter-clockwise) when setting the dry time. Also, it is normal for there to be tension when turning the knob either direction. Keep in touch! Sue

QuestionOld dryer removal?If I purchase a new dryer and install it myself will they haul away the old dryer? Thanks

- Answer Not sure if they will haul away the old dryer. The delivery and haul away were included in the purchase. They require I purchase a new plug for the dryer. The delivery company was on time and extremely fast and professional. They attached the plug, vent hose, and switched the door to best suit our laundry room. They also tested the operation of the dryer and hauled away the old dryer. All in about 20 minutes.

QuestionDoes this dryer have any noisy alarms that go off when the load is done? If so, can they be turned off so that do not alarm? Can the door be left open without an alarm beeping? Wanting to know about any audible beeps and ability to turn of. Thanks!

- Answer There are 3 volume levels for the alarm but I found that even the lowest one is too loud so I have mine set to “Off”

- Answer Hi Geo130- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Mixing "lint producing" fabrics with "lint collecting" fabrics allows lint to transfer to other garments, instead of being trapped in the lint filter. Separate lint producers (flannel, cotton knits, terry towels) from lint collectors (fuzzy, brushed fabrics, synthetic blends. ex. corduroy, acrylic blankets, children's sleepwear). QuestionHow much wall clearance does this dryer need? Also how long does it take to dry a full capacity load?

- Answer Mine is about 4 inches from the wall. Just enough to allow the exhaust tube to flow straight out the back and through the wall. The exhaust hole for my dryer is in the wall directly behind it at the same level as the exhaust tube exiting the dryer. Basically you just need enough room behind the dryer to allow the exhaust tubing.
