“Why isn't there any lint on the collector after drying towels?”

• Hi Geo130- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Mixing "lint producing" fabrics with "lint collecting" fabrics allows lint to transfer to other garments, instead of being trapped in the lint filter. Separate lint producers (flannel, cotton knits, terry towels) from lint collectors (fuzzy, brushed fabrics, synthetic blends. ex. corduroy, acrylic blankets, children's sleepwear). • I've found the newer the towels are the more lint. Harsh washing soaps also cause small tears in the towel fibers. Just guessing this might have something to do with it.

• Could this be an indication the drier vent is blocked somewhere along the line?
