Hi Ben - The dryer requires a 208/240 volt, individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 30 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. It does not operate on 120v. We suggest GE Spacemaker® 120V 3.6 cu. ft. Capacity Portable Electric Dryer DSKP333ECWW. Requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
