“It mentions optional dryer vent---can this function without venting?”

This question is for: GE - 7.5 Cu. Ft. 13-Cycle Electric Dryer with Steam - White

Hello. This is RICHARDatGEA. The GFD45ESSKWW does require venting. This dryer cannot function without venting. It may be listed as optional since the venting is not included. Thanks for the question.

No, the dryer does require venting but it has 4 ways to vent for easy access and installation.
