“Does this come with a place to connect a duct directly on the rear (like a part that protrudes from the back of the dryer)? Or is there a different component that has to be connected within the dryer that that then sticks out for duct connection?”

Hi Joe, thanks very much for your question! We'd be happy to help you out. There are instructions on how to exhaust your dryer located on page 25 of your installation instructions. Those instructions, for standard rear venting, begin with: Slide the end of the exhaust duct on the back of the dryer and secure with duct tape or a hose clamp. There is not a part that protrudes from the rear of the dryer for venting by default. We hope that this information helps!
