Yes. They work the same as a normal light bulb.

Our lights are not rated for outdoor use, and we do not recommend putting these lights in a fully enclosed fixture reason is because LEDs dissipate their own waste heat, and are designed to do so in a very small surface area (around the surface of the bulb) LEDs therefore rely on the temperature around the bulb to be fairly low in order for the heat dissipation to work effectively.
