“Has anyone modified this trim kit to fit the PES7227SLSS?”

I used this trim kit for PES7227SLSS without any modifications. Found this question/answer on another site and just did it when I had to replace a 2006 GE Profile microwave.

Hi Tom - GE Profile™ Series 2.2 Cu. Ft. Built-In Sensor Microwave Oven PEB7227ANDD is compatible with Model:JX7230SLSS. See Quick Specs for dimensions: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=PEB7227ANDD_C2_18.pdf - Built-in trim kits will not work with the PES7227SLSS (countertop) model because it will bind in the corner on the hinge side. We cannot recommend altering, redesigning, or modifying an appliance, part, or accessory. Our products are designed, tested and manufactured to specific specifications.
