“I have an older GE Profile JEMSF01 Spacemaker microwave. Interior R light flashing/sizzling when opened. Unplugged. Does this mean fuse is blown? Light needs replacing? Other?”

Hi SDW- While we strongly recommend not using an extension cord, the interior light may flicker when the oven is in use if installed with an extension cord. Cooking times may also be longer. The microwave should be plugged into its own properly grounded, dedicated electrical outlet to prevent the flickering of the lights, blowing of a fuse or tripping of a circuit breaker.
