“When the door on the microwave opens, does the hinge remain flush with the unit, or does it add extra width? I have a wall on the hinge side, so several units do not work in this space.”

• Yes, the hinge remains flush with the unit. I've attached (2) pictures showing the unit door CLOSED and OPENED. I'd also like to add that the convection oven works like a charm and this model has a Steam Clean feature which helps with cleanup.

However, if the unit is installed next to a deep cabinet or wall on the hinge side (left side), you will need a 1/2" clearance on the hinge side to allow the door to open.
