I seriously doubt you need a child lock. It is the most difficult microwave door to open that I've ever seen. You have to push the button very hard and deep to get it to open. In fact, I do NOT recommend this microwave. We have already had 2 issues with it within 6 weeks of owning. We're currently without it because the button broke! Waiting for the parts to come in to fix it. Not nearly the quality of our last GE microwave that lasted 16 years without a problem.

To lock or unlock the controls, press and hold Cancel/Off for about three seconds. When the control panel is locked, “LOC” will appear in the display.
