“I have a cabinet opening of 25” wide and 15” tall. Can I use this microwave and not use a trim kit? If so, will it look ok without one?”

Hi Nichole - Thanks for viewing GE Model PEB7227DLBB! Dimensions are: 14H x 24 1/8W x 19 3/4D. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. If not installed with a trim kit, allow 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. If located on the counter near a range, we recommend locating it at least 2 ft away and do not place near or over a heat source. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Possibly? I would check the clearance dimensions to make sure that is has enough ventilation to keep it from overheating. Without a trim kit it will look unfinished. Check out the counter top model to see how much clearance it needs. Maybe it will work and will look better without a trim kit.
