- Answer Hi there, Based on our research, we are finding that this model is the closest to your old model that also has a trim kit. Trim kits are model specific as well. QuestionThe inside says epoxy is that a paint? Do you have stainless or similar to what is in ovens?

- Answer Hello Randy. This microwave model has a painted epoxy finish. Gray porcelain enamel finish can be found primarily on some over-the-range microwaves. Stainless Interior can be found on all Advantium/Convection models. Thanks for checking. Olga

QuestionI have a built-in GE Microwave #JE1460WF (manufactured in 2003). It's only 23" wide, 21 1/2" high, and 11 1/2" deep (on the inside.) Does GE even make anything with those dimensions any longer? Nana

QuestionDoes the GE Profile 2.2cf microwave PEB7227DLBB have a white interior or a dark gray interior? I’ve read both. Also, is the keypad illuminated in the dark? People say it’s hard to see.

- Answer Chad, interior dark grey. Keypad (a definite con) is not lighted. I did not realize this before having shipped to me. There is no selection available on the keypad to turn the interior light on. There may be a reason for that, not sure. Interior light on only when opened and when operating. Other than that, I like it very much.

- Answer I seriously doubt you need a child lock. It is the most difficult microwave door to open that I've ever seen. You have to push the button very hard and deep to get it to open. In fact, I do NOT recommend this microwave. We have already had 2 issues with it within 6 weeks of owning. We're currently without it because the button broke! Waiting for the parts to come in to fix it. Not nearly the quality of our last GE microwave that lasted 16 years without a problem.

QuestionWhy does it take three times to open the door after not using for an hour. The GE repairman says that is normal. Yes you have to push the door opening 3 times before it will open. Then there after it works great. Any feedback?

- Answer Call GE again for repair ASAP if this is under warranty. This is NOT normal. I had the same problem went I purchased this microwave a few weeks ago. It would take 6 or 7 tries to open the microwave, and then it would work for a few hours, then it would stop working again. The repair was to replace the console on the right. where the button is located as well as the console face on the left. When I asked about this problem, the service technician said something was wrong with the plastic piece behind the button or the hinges themselves, ie. the plastic piece wasn't lifting the hinges correctly or the hinges wouldn't lift for the door to open. Mine, currently works smoothly, for now. Good luck!

- Answer I don’t know what the replacement model is but you do need a trim kit with the microwave. It took a long time to receive the trim kit and had to have someone from BB install. Once in place it is beautiful and I’m very happy with it.

- Answer ALL newer GE microwaves use a COMPLETELY different trim kit than their older microwaves (my older GE microwave was about 6-7 years old) ….so yes u will need to buy a new trim kit.....sorry
