“I would like to know what the replacement microwave is for a GE PEB7226SF2SS ? I also have the built in kit, and stainless trim kit for it. And also, will those (2) items fit the new replacement model?”

I buy GE Microwaves to match my other appliances. I have to replace my Microwave once every 4 years. The Trim Kits always change and the changes are so major you can not make the old Trim Kit fit. Yes this is the microwave to replace the 7226 model and yes you will have to replace the Trim Kit. The worse part is that each time you have to use different mouting holes. After 15 years my cabinet is looking like swiss cheese. If you can, buy a different make and hopefully it will last longer.
