  • QuestionI have a microwave model PEB7226SF2SS that is broken less than 2 years of usage. Can I buy another microwave that is not a GE one that fits with this trim? And after reading so many comments about this microwave breaking, why hasn't GE addressed this?

Also, microwave trim kits are designed to provide a built-in look while also providing air flow necessary to the microwave. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. Therefore, your current trim kit cannot be used with other brands. The model that replaces PEB7226SF2SS is GE Profile™ 2.2 Cu. Ft. Built-In Sensor Microwave Oven PEB7227ANDD, in case you are wanting to purchase a new one. This model is compatible with GE® Required 27" Built-In Trim Kit JX7227SLSS and GE® Required 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX7230SLSS.   • QuestionHave a difference in specs between 2 box stores for Model PES7227SLSS. One store says this Model includes "Sensor Cooking" while the other store says it does NOT. One says a 16" turntable; the other says a 16.5" turntable. Would u please clarify-

    • Answer Hi Pronto - Yes! When the model is manufactured, the extra number (1) is placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. This number is used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, this is used as an identifier for the specific appliance.   • QuestionCan I get a higher watt bulb; it is very difficult to see in the oven while it is operating.

    • Answer Hi CFBSR - For safety reasons, the interior bulb is not consumer replaceable. This countertop microwave requires service to replace the interior light, if necessary. Also, it is not designed to accept a higher wattage bulb. Keep in touch! Sue

    • Answer Be AWARE! I believe this microwave requires a 25” trim kit and nobody makes 25” trim kits. Before you buy any under counter microwave, check and VERIFY which trim kit will work with it! The smallest size trim kit is 26”.

  • QuestionNeed to replace white GE microwave JE2160WF01. 24 3/32w x 13 3/4 h x 19 3/8 d. Flush with cabinets/came with kit. Looking to be able to slide in a new microwave hopefully using my same kit if possible. Frame 24 w x 13 1/8h x depth shouldn't be issue
